I was thinking of starting an Art Battle thread. I searched and found some failed attempts. So... screw it! The Art forum is boring... we need a contest! :( ...actually, the Flash forum is pretty boring too... blah!

No, I meant the kind where at a specific date/time a topic/theme and time limit is given. People draw whatever they think fits, and then there's a vote to see who wins... or no vote and it's just for fun. Kinda like the 2-Hour time trial animation collabs... without the animation or collab part! ;)

The whole idea of Art Battles is that they only take an hour or two... not a week ...and it's only the 7th.

No one said you couldn't start a battle yourself... then you could pick any theme/topic you wanted. ;)

Yeah, I think that's usually the way it works (at least as far as I know, which isn't far! lol). Maybe make it... the 1st person to 5, or 7... or whatever, wins.

I was considering doing an full-blown battle... where there's like 20 people, so round 1 has 10 battles... the winners of those battle (in 2's) until it's down to one winner... they'd get t-shirts, key chains ...stuff like that. Not sure how many people would be up for it though.

I'm grateful I didn't discover it when it first came out... I can't imagine having to wait *years* between books!! Ugh ...torture!!

I had to limit myself to a couple hours of reading each night or I would have just read a whole book in one sitting! lol!! ...I read all four books in like 4 weeks!! I even went to Barnes and Noble at midnight and waited in line when Breaking Dawn came out! lol!! FREAK! :P

I'm excited for the movie too. Looks like they're staying really true to the book... and the actors match the way I envisioned the characters almost exactly!! The guy playing Jacob Black is perfect... and oh so cute!! He was Shark boy (and Lava girl), now he's Wolf boy!! lol!

Did you read the leaked first chapter of Midnight Sun? That was really interesting... made me want to go back and re-read Twilight ...but I'm gonna wait until mid Nov. so it will be fresh in my brain when I go see the film! ;)

Yeah... I think they just have too much other stuff going on to sit around thinking of ideas! Maybe there should be a thread for contest suggestions... and if they use one, the person who suggested it would get...a shirt or something! We should brainstorm!! (or maybe just rain a little! lol)

I like competitions because they give me something to do, if left to my own devices ill draw nothing, i need a good thread with a nice theme that i can work with. My problem is ill have no ideas, thats the only reason i go to the art forum, because i see threads like "draw yourself as the joker" and i think, hey thats not a half bad idea, and i do it.

Anyway, do mod's have the power to delete posts? 'Cos as BMK said, a mod, maybe you, should start an Art Battle Thread and delete all the bad pictures and let only the people who actually DO TRY keep their posts.
